Our history
The Gallery was established in 1967 by Claire’s parents, artist Edward Morris and his wife Kay, in the dining room of their Bed and Breakfast on the sea front in Aberdyfi. It soon developed enabling them to close the B&B and open a gallery showing not only Edwards work but also other contemporary Welsh artists.
In 1982 Claire took over the running of the gallery along with her husband Glyn, also an artist. The Gallery moved to a new location in the square, where it continued to thrive. Over time they developed a large selection of prints and cards which complimented their original work. Their daughter Row also paints when time from her busy job allows. So the family link continues...
Edward Morris died in 1996 but his work lives on through this website.
This website is the only way to access our work now, as we closed the Gallery in Aberdyfi in January 2020.
